I was born in Wolverhampton in 1982 and from an early age I loved to draw and paint.
My creativity came as no surprise to my family , as my Great Uncle John was renowned Sculptor and Professor of Sculpture John “Paddy” Paddison, whose work can still be seen in many private and public collections, including a permanent place in Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
Throughout my childhood and into my teenage years, I continued to show a real passion for art, although at this stage it was nothing more than a hobby and my career would take a different path all together! I went on to join West Midlands Fire Service in 2007, where I continue to work as a full time Fire Fighter.
My enthusiasm for art, though, has never waned and today I find myself taking regular commissions and selling original works from my studio in Shropshire.
From portraits to my own contemporary paintings, I have come to recognise that there is great demand for my work and I have now decided to follow my dreams of being an Artist. I work mainly with oils but also enjoy using acrylics, as I continue to develop my self taught skills. I love experimenting with different styles and painting techniques and I am currently working on a number of different pieces to be exhibited locally, so watch this space!!
Finding inspiration from my busy work life in the emergency services, as well as from my love of film, music and sport, I feel I have created my own distinctive style which I very much hope will stir your imagination and provide you with your very own timeless piece of art.
